The Mint Mark SI technology includes a Scrambled Indicia security feature on the reverse side of the bar. The micro-engraving of the Mint Mark SI is visible only by placing a patented decoding lens over the security pad.

On the obverse of the 1 Kilo Sunshine Silver Bar is the image of the refinery’s full logo. In a large circle centered in the upper portion of the design field on this side is a bald eagle flying through the air with a burst of sunshine behind its figure. The words “Sunshine Minting” surround the bird. Below that, you’ll find the purity, metal content, and weight of the bar.

The reverse field of the 1 Kilo Silver Bar from Sunshine Minting’s SMI Bullion range includes the exclusive Mint Mark SI technology mark. It is found in the center of the design field and appears to have a rough, matte finish with no discernable features. Micro-engraved within this circle, however, is the Mint Mark SI technology which allows you to identify the individual bar you’ve purchased and validate its authenticity.
