This 2022 Australian Kookaburra 1 oz Silver Bullion Coin comes in an individual protective Coin capsule
COIN INFORMATION
The Australian Kookaburra coin was introduced by the Perth Mint in 1990. The series was the first major silver bullion collection from Perth Mint to offer new designs on the reverse side of the coin each year. Additionally, the series set the stage for subsequent issues of gold and silver bullion coins at the mint with images of native species from the Australian continent.
On the obverse of 2022 Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in a design that serves as the sixth-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait was created for the Royal Mint of England in 2015 by Jody Clark and came to Perth Mint coinage starting in 2018. The portrait shows the Queen in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem.
The reverse side of 2022 1 oz Silver Kookaburra Coins features the image of a kookaburra. The largest member of the kingfisher species, the kookaburra is shown here as it perches on the edge of a bird bath. In the background field, Agapanthus flowers are growing. This plant is particularly popular in Australian gardens. The micro-laser engraved security letter is found on this side and is only visible under a magnifying glass.
